2010 Audi A5 / S5 Cabriolet

Exposed—literally! Audi reveals the convertible versions of its sensational A5 and S5 coupes.

Any time a new coupe is introduced—especially a duo that's as hot as the Audi A5 and its sportier S5 sibling—one of the first questions asked is "will it be offered as a convertible?" We always knew that Audi's saucy four-seaters would eventually lose their roofs and replace the popular A4 and S4 cabriolets, but only now do we know when they'll hit the road, and what they will look like.

Okay, so there are absolutely no surprises when it comes to the cab's styling: it looks exactly how an A5 sans roof should look. Audi has abided its decision to use fabric roofs for all of its convertibles, and as a result the coupe's beautiful body lines remain pretty much unfettered. However, the change to cloth alters one of the coupe's most distinctive features, one that contributed to the A5/S5 making it onto our Top 10 Most Beautiful Cars of 2009 list: its sultry roofline. That said, we're confident that the cabrios will display their true beauty come the first sunny, 75-degree day.
